Rename Shape Properties

Rename Shape File is used to rename a shape file from your current version of SDS2. These are the shape files that are used when creating a job, not the jobs' local shape file.

1 . Select Rename Shape Properties in Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Rename.

2 . The conf_mtrl folder opens inside of Window's File Explorer. Select the shape properties file you wish to rename, and press F2 or right-click and select rename and type the name you want for the shape properties file.

  • If you accidentally rename a shape file using this utility, you may be able to able to replace it with a file of the same name from the conf_mtrl/SDS2 folder.
  • Do not rename files maintained in the conf_mtrl/SDS2 folder. That folder, like the various other folders named SDS2 that are maintained in your SDS2 data directory , should serve as a storage place for SDS2 to install back-up files. The conf_mtrl/SDS2 folder is the archival folder for shape files.
