To open this window, press the " Print ABM Report " button on the ABM Report window.

Instructions :

YouTube video: An xlsx file is exported to the desktop then opened in Microsoft Excel.
  • The Print ABM Report window lets you select the ABM revision that you want to output an ABM report on.
  • Before opening this window, you need to select the " ABM Name " that you want to output the report for. You may also want to press the " Report Layout " button and review/edit the settings on that window since those settings configure the ABM information that is included in the ABM report.
  • The number of revisions that are shown on this window depend on the number of times the ABM (the " ABM Name ") has been updated (using " Update ABM "). If the ABM has never been updated, then only the " Original " revision is shown. If the ABM has been updated once, then a " Original " revision and a " 1 " revision are shown. In the above example, " Original " and " 1 " and " 2 " revisions are shown, which means the ABM has been updated twice.
  • Selecting a revision then pressing the "Print" button outputs the ABM report to the destination specified at User and Site Options > Output > " Reports ." For example, if report output is set to ' Screen/Report viewer ', the Output-Request Summary window will open with a preview of the report, and you can optionally " Save ..." or " Print " the report.
  • Selecting a revision then pressing the "Export xlsx File" button exports an xslx file based on the selected revision. The xslx format is the Microsoft Excel Open XML Spreadsheet format. You can name the file and place it in a folder of your choice.
  • "Export xlsx File"
  • "Cancel" closes this window.

Advanced Bill of Material Report :

  • The columns (e.g., Minor Mark , ABM ID , Major Mark , etc.) that are shown in the above example of an Advance Bill of Material Report are set per choices made to the ABM Layout window.
  • An Advance Bill of Material Report identifies its source "ABM File" (e.g., ABM2 ) at the top of each page. That source file is the " ABM Name " that was selected at the time when the " Print ABM Report " button was pressed to output the report. The date & 24-hour time-of-printing (e.g., 27 Jan 2020 10:29:47 ) is also reported on each page.
  • The "Rev" ( 0 ) at the top of each page is the " Revision " that was selected on the ABM Report window when the report was output. The "Fabricator" ( Master ) is the current Fabricator . The "Job" ( ABM2 ) is the current Job .
  • "Rev" "Rev" "Rev"
  • The "Sequence" in the above example is printed in a header at the top of this particular page because the box for " Sequence " was checked on the ABM Report Criteria window when the ABM file was created. The sequence shown at the top of a page is the sequence of all ABM entries on that page. On the page shown above, the sequence of all members on the page is 4 . Advanced Bill of Material page sorting is always done by "Steel Grade" ( A992 ).
  • "Sequence"
  • "Weight" ( 7972 ) is calculated per page for the sum total of materials on that page. This weight can be used for estimating shipping costs. Reported weights are in kilograms or pounds depending on the primary dimension " Units ."
  • "Surface Area" ( 1174 ) is calculated per page by adding together the weights of materials that are included in the total per-page "Material Count" ( 11 ). This per-page surface area can be used for calculating paint or coating costs. Reported surface areas are in square meters if you are using ' Metric ' dimensioning, in square feet if you are using ' Imperial ' dimensioning.
  • The report's final page (not shown) prints "Final Totals" for "Material Count" , "Weight" and "Surface area" . The per-report final totals are the sum total of the per-page "Sub Totals" . In other words, the last-page Final Totals are the per-page Sub Totals added together.
