ONPL (On Polygon Line)

Tool summary :

  • ONPL stands for "On Polygon Line." It is used for Add Weld Layout or Chamfer Point to Point to snap to the edges of material at 1/4 inch increments.
  • On Polygon Line point location mode automatically becomes active when you start doing an Add Weld Layout or a Chamfer Point to Point in Modeling .
  • In earlier versions of Add Weld Layout , once you switched to a different point locator, there was no way to switch back to On Polygon Line . Now, with this icon on your ribbon, you can switch to a different point locator then back to On Polygon Line as often as you please.

To toggle On Polygon Line on and off :

Method 1 : Click the On Polygon Line icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be found in can be placed on a ribbon (lightning) or toobar (classic) and can be found in the group called ' Locate ' ( Modeling ) or ' Locate ' ( Drawing Editor ). If the " Layout style " is ' Lightning ', the icon can be placed on a contextual page of the ribbon.

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " or " Drawing Editor layout style " is' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Locate > On Polygon Line .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : On Polygon Line can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .
