Refresh Reference Drawings ( Modeling )

Tool summary :

  • Updates all reference drawings that have been placed in the model to their last-saved state.
  • This means, for example, if you or somebody on your network does a Save of a change made in the Drawing Editor to any drawing that has already been placed as a reference drawing, you can invoke Refresh Reference Drawings in order to see that change applied in Modeling .

Step-by-step instructions :

1 . To invoke Refresh Reference Drawings :

Method 1 : Click the Refresh Reference Drawings icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Model -- Reference Drawing ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Model > Reference Drawing > Refresh Reference Drawings .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Refresh Reference Drawings can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .

2 . All reference drawings that are in the model are re-read into the model from their current (last-saved) Drawing Editor files. Even reference drawings that are not visible in your current view are refreshed.
