   Step-by-step instructions :

Add Note to the Model can be used in Modeling to add a note to a location within in your current view. You can optionally do step 1d (preselection) to perform this operation, if you want to add a note to a member. Step 1d is optional for a couple of reasons: 1) A note does not have to be added to a member; it can reside anywhere in a view and can optionally not even be allowed to be shown in a view. 2) Preselection is not required to add a note to a member; you can use the " Link " button instead.

1 . Before invoking Add Note to Model :

1a : If you want to have the note displayed in the model after you have added it, you need to check " Notes " in Display Options .

1b : Open ( Ctrl + o ) a view that shows the location where you want to add the note. Be aware that, in the Note Viewer , when you select a note, the Note Viewer displays the view in which the note was added. In other words, Note Viewer recalls the view in which the note was added. You should place your note in a way that uses this feature to your best advantage.

1c : If you plan to add to the note an " Attachment " such as a text file, or PDF file, or spread sheet, or graphics file, you should know the exact file name and location of that attachment before you begin.
