Move Notes

Move one or more Notes in the model.

1 . Preselect one or more Notes to enable the Notes contextual page and click the Move Notes icon found in the Modify section.

Alternative: Invoke Move Notes using the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the icon, which is pictured above.

2 . The status line prompts, "Locate offset". Various Locate options become active along with Locate - Pan - Return mouse bindings. Left-click (Locate) where you want to move the Note to.

Note: The Note's reference point is automatically selected at the tip of the Note's pointer.

Alternative 1: If you selected more than one Note in step 1, the status line prompts, "Locate reference point". Left-click (Locate) a reference point and then follow step 2 above. The Notes will move with respect to the reference point rather than the tip of their pointer.

Alternative 2: Press Esc or right-click (Enter) to end the command.

  • Notes will appear in your model unless you unchecked the box ( ) for Show in model on the Edit Note window or unchecked the box for Notes in Display Options.
  • If you select only one Note, Move Notes will automatically use the tip of the Note's pointer as its reference point.
  • If you select multiple Notes to be moved, you will be prompted to locate a reference point.
