Pan Down ( Modeling )

Tool summary :

Click the icon to scroll down within a tile . The display within that tile is nudged upward.
Pan Down does not rotate your view or change how closely you are zoomed into your view, but simply shifts the imaginary camera down so that items within a tile (window) move up.
If a particular tile is active , Pan Down operates on that tile.
Pan Down is most useful when invoked via a keyboard shortcut or mode. You'll likely find it to be more useful for navigation when using a tablet as opposed to a PC. See the step-by-step instructions .

Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Invoke Pan Down using one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1 : Click the Pan Down icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Navigate -- Navigation Mode ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Navigate > Pan Down .

Method 3 or 4 (most useful) : Pan Down can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .

2 . One of the following happens:

Possibility 1 : If you invoked Pan Down using method 1 or method 2, the display is nudged upward (one time) toward the top of the window.

Possibility 2 (most useful) : If you used a keyboard shortcut (method 3), the display moves up continuously upward until you release the key that you are pressing on your keyboard.
