Pan Up

Pan Up ( Modeling )

Tool summary :

Click the icon to scroll up within a tile . The display within that tile is nudged downward.
Pan Up does not rotate your view or change how closely you are zoomed into your view, but simply shifts the imaginary camera up so that items within a tile (window) move down.
If a particular tile is active , Pan Up operates on that tile.
Pan Up is most useful when invoked via a keyboard shortcut or mode. You'll likely find it to be more useful for navigation when using a tablet as opposed to a PC. See the step-by-step instructions .

Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Invoke Pan Up using one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1 : Click the Pan Up icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Navigate -- Navigation Mode ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Navigate > Pan Up .

Method 3 or 4 (most useful) : Pan Up can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .

2 . One of the following happens:

Possibility 1 : If you invoked Pan Up using method 1 or 2, the display is nudged downward (one time) toward the bottom of the window.

Possibility 2 (most useful) : If you used a keyboard shortcut (method 3), the display moves continuously downward until you release the key that you are pressing on your keyboard.
