Clear Detail Dimensions Command

Removes all Detail Dimensions in your current Modeling session.

Invoke Clear Detail Dimensions using one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1: Click the Clear Detail Dimensions icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be found on the Display page > Members section.

Method 2: Clear Detail Dimensions can also be invoked using the Find Tool by searching the command name.

Dimensions of all members or materials which have Detail Dimensions shown in your current Modeling session will cease to be shown as a result of this operation. You do not have to select anything. This applies even to Detail Dimensions not shown in your current view.

Note : This command only removes the Detail Dimensions from the modeling session, not Drawing Editor.

  • When you perform a Show Dimensions operation on one or more members or materials, the Detail Dimensions continue to be shown even if you deselect the member or material, or Rotate your view around the member or material, or Zoom In , or Open a different view, or isolate a member or material . Without this tool, you would need to exit Modeling in order to make the Detail Dimensions go away.
  • In multi-user environments, Detail Dimensions shown in your Modeling session are not shown in other users' sessions.
