Keeping track of detail placement :

The SDS2 family of programs all track which member details have been placed onto sheets. You can use Model > Status Display > Detailing and processing > On sheet to color code members in Modeling whose details have been placed on sheets.

While viewing a detail sheet in the Drawing Editor , you can identify what details are placed on that sheet by their piecemarks or by their appearance.

Two reports -- Sheet List, Select by Detail and Sheet List, Select by Sheet -- can be used to review what details have been placed on what sheets.

While in the Drawing Editor , you cannot see the information that will be compiled into the bill of material on a detail sheet. To see such information, plot the sheet, or print out a Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet .

The bill of material on a detail sheet :

A full-featured SDS2 program automatically enters bill of material information from member details to the bill of material on a detail sheet as member details are added to the sheet.

You can review this information by plotting the sheet, or by printing out a Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet for that sheet.

Users of a full-featured SDS2 program can use Edit Bill to interactively enter additional bill of material information to the sheet, if they so choose. Users of a SDS2 review station can use Edit Bill to review this information. Data added using Edit Bill is placed at the top of the bill of material on the sheet when the sheet is plotted .
