Zoom In to Center ( Modeling & Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Lets you zoom in to the center of your computer screen or the active tile, for example, using a keyboard shortcut or your mouse wheel.
  • If your mouse has a mouse wheel , you can use Mode Configuration to add Zoom In to Center to modes. Simply enter ' 4 ' as the " Button " while " Zoom In to Center " is selected in the " Command list ," then press the " Add " button.
  • If you configure a mode to use Zoom In to Center , you should configure that same mode to use Zoom Out to Center .
  • When a key is configured to activate Zoom In to Center , you zoom in continuously until you release the key.

   Step-by-step instructions :

The center point of your Modeling or Drawing Editor view or tile is not changed by this operation.

1 . Invoke Zoom In to Center using any one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1 : Click the Zoom In to Center icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Navigate -- Navigation Mode ' ( Modeling ) or ' Navigate -- Navigation Mode ' ( Drawing Editor ) and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If the " Modeling layout style " or " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Navigate > Zoom In to Center .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Zoom In to Center can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .

2 . One of the following happens:

Possibility 1 : If in step 1 you invoked Zoom In to Center using Method 1 or 2 or 4, the display zooms in (one time) toward the center of the screen or tile.

Possibility 2 : If you used a keyboard shortcut (Method 3), the display continuously zooms in to the center of the tile until you release the key you are pressing on your keyboard.

Possibility 3 : If you used a mode (Method 5), the display zooms in with each nudge forward on your mouse wheel.

Tip: To save a zoomed-in view for later use in your current session of Modeling (or your current drawing in the Drawing Editor ) use Retain View .
