Arc Edit ( Drawing Editor )
Tool summary :
- Lets you edit one or multiple arcs that you select. Selection filtering is built in.
- While Arc Edit can be used to edit one arc at a time, the tool is more commonly used for multi-editing. The preferred way to edit a single arc is to double-click it while ' Default ' is selected as the selection filter.
- If you preselect multiple types of objects, Arc Edit will edit only those objects that are arcs. The other objects will remain selected. Click here for an example. Preselection is done in Select Items mode. Here are the steps:
Select Items bindings (for preselection) - In-tool selection takes place when you invoke Arc Edit with nothing selected or with object types other than arcs selected. The tool brings up Select Item(s) mouse bindings, and the status line prompts you select arcs. Here are the steps:
- Invoke Arc Edit .
Select Item(s) bindings (for in-tool selection) - Select one or more objects. Built-in selection filtering restricts you to selecting arcs. Press the Enter key when you are done selecting the objects.
- The Arc Edit window opens.
- Invoke Arc Edit .
- To invoke Arc Edit :
Method 1 : Click the Arc Edit icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Arcs ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Arcs > Edit .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Arc Edit can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
