Weld Erase

Deletes the weld(s) that you select.

1 . Preselect a weld to enable the Welds contextual page and click the Delete icon ( ) found in the Modify section.

Alternative : Invoke Weld Erase using the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the Weld Erase icon, which is pictured above.

2 . A yes-no dialogue opens with the question, "Are you sure you want to delete this/these item(s)?" Select "Yes" to delete the weld.

Alternative 1 : If you did not preselect a weld in Step 1, left-click (Select) the weld(s). Press Enter or Right-click and select OK from the shortcut menu, then select "OK" to delete the selected weld.

Alternative 2 : Press the " Cancel " or "No" button to close the window and end the Weld Erase command. The weld(s) remain unchanged.

  • If the welds you select for erasing are hidden by materials, look at the selection count decoration to determine the number of welds you have selected
  • It does not matter whether the weld was system generated or added using Weld Add . You can erase one or multiple welds.
  • Erasing a system generated weld will cause the connection to become a graphical connection.
  • If the weld you select is part of a staggered weld, the entire weld group is selected.
  • You cannot erase welds that are associated with member that has its " Model completed " date set.
