Weld Edit

Opens the edit window which allows you change the type, size and other attributes of welds.

1 . Preselect a weld to enable the Welds contextual page and click the Edit icon ( ) found in the Modify section.

Alternative: Invoke Weld Edit using the Find Tool by searching the command name and clicking the icon, which is pictured above.

2 .The Weld Edit window opens. On it are the settings of the selected weld(s). Enter the desired changes, then press the " OK " button at the bottom of the window to accept the changes.

Alternative 1 : If you did not preselect a weld in Step 1, left-click (Select) the weld(s). Press Enter or Right-click and select OK from the shortcut menu, then follow step 2 above.

Alternative 2 : Press the " Cancel " button to close the window and end the Weld Edit command. The weld(s) remain unchanged.

 

  • When a weld is changed, the affected member(s) are marked for detailing.
  • System generated welds should be edited through the connection component edit window, any changes made outside of this will cause the connection to become a graphical connection.
  • A weld symbol for the weld you have just edited will be drawn on the member detail of the affected member when you Detail Members .
