Clear Selection

Clear Selection ( Modeling & Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

Deselects all currently selected items in your current Modeling view or Drawing Editor drawing.
Left-click ( Select ) while your mouse pointer is over any blank space in the drawing area on your computer screen to accomplish the same.
To invoke Clear Selection :

Method 1 : Click the Clear Selection icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Selection ' ( Modeling ) or ' Selection ' ( Drawing Editor ) and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If the " Modeling layout style " or " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Edit > Clear Selection .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Clear Selection can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface . The default context menu is configured to allow you to right-click ( Menu ) and choose " Clear Selection " whenever there is a selection that can be cleared.
