Revert ( Drawing Editor > Ctrl + r )

Tool summary :

  • Restores the last-saved version of your current drawing.
  • Revert undoes all changes made to your current drawing since you first Opened it or last Saved it. However, Revert does not restore piecemarks that have been change using Change Marks .

   Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Invoke Revert using any one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1 : Click the Revert icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' File ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose File > Revert .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Revert can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .

2 . A yes-no warning dialog opens. On it is the message, "Are you sure? Changes to __ will be lost."

Alternative 1 : Press the " Yes " button to Revert the drawing as described in step 3.

Alternative 2 : Press the " No " button to end the Revert operation and keep the drawing as it was before step 1. Do not continue.

3 . Revert reloads the saved-to-disk version of your current drawing, thus undoing all changes that you made to that drawing since your last Save .

Exceptions: Revert does not undo the use of Change Marks to change piecemarks of drawings placed on sheets.
