You must do either step 1b (preselection) or step 3 (in-tool selection) to select the group members. As noted in the tool summary , this tool does not edit the properties of submembers of a group member -- it edits the properties of the group member only.
1 . Before selecting group members:
1a : You need to be in Modeling .
Select Items bindings (step 1b). 1b (optional) : In Select Items mode with the selection filter set to ' Group Members ', use Select or Select+ (or draw an area box ) to select the group member(s) whose properties you want to review or change. Or you can use the Model Tree or Advanced Selection to select the group members.
2 . Invoke Group Member Properties using any one (1) of the following methods:
Method 1 : Click the Group Member Properties icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Model -- Group Member ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Model > Group Member > Properties .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Group Member Prioperties can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .
3 (if required) . This step is required if you did not select group members in step 1b . The program skips this step if you did select group members in step 1b.
Select Item(s) bindings |
3a (if you didn't preselect) : Select Item(s) mouse bindings are activated, and the status line prompts you to " Select group member(s) to edit properties ." Press the Enter key or right-click ( Menu ) and choose " OK " on the menu when you are done selecting the group members you want. Go to step 4.
Alternative : You can press the Esc key (or right-click and choose " Cancel " on the context menu ) if you want to end this operation without editing properties. Do not continue.
If the " Flavor " that was selected at the time your current Job was created was a modular flavor, the Edit Properties window opens.
If the " Flavor " was a legacy flavor, the Custom Properties window opens.
Regardless of the name of the window that opens, any changes that you make to properties on that window will be applied to all group members that you selected in step 1b (or step 3) at the time that you press " OK " to close that window.
