Step-by-step instructions :

You must do either step 1b (preselection) or step 3 (in-tool selection) to select the holes. You don't need to use a selection filter when in-tool selection is used.

1 . Before selecting holes:

1a : You need to be in Modeling , and members need to be displayed in a solid form . The display of " Holes " needs to be turned on in View > Display Options . Also in Display Options , you may want to turn the display of " Bolts " off.

Select Items bindings (step 1b)

1b (optional) : In Select Items mode with the selection filter set to, for example, ' Holes ', use Select or Select+ (or draw an area box ) to select the hole(s) whose properties you want to review or change. Or you can use the Model Tree or Advanced Selection to select the holes.

2 . Invoke Hole Properties using any one (1) of the following methods:

Method 1 : Click the Hole Properties icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Model -- Hole ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Modeling layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Model > Holes > Properties .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Hole Prioperties can also be configured to be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the lightning interface, this configuration is done using Customize Interface .

3 (if required) . This step is required if you did not select holes in step 1b . The program skips this step if you did select holes in step 1b.

Select Item(s) bindings

3a (if you didn't do 1b) : Select Item(s) mouse bindings are activated, and the status line prompts you to " Select hole(s) to edit properties ." Press the Enter key or right-click ( Menu ) and choose " OK " on the menu when you are done selecting the holes you want. Go to step 4.

Alternative : You can press the Esc key (or right-click and choose " Cancel " on the context menu ) if you want to end this operation without editing properties. Do not continue.

4 . The following happens:

Possibility 1: If the " Flavor " that was selected at the time your current Job was created was a modular flavor, the Edit Properties window opens.

Possibility 2: If the " Flavor " was a legacy flavor, the Custom Properties window opens.

4a : Regardless of the name of the window that opens, any changes that you make to properties on that window will be applied to all holes that you selected in step 1b (or step 3) at the time that you press " OK " to close that window.
