Example :
Shown below is part of a Field Bolts Point to Point Report by Sheet . On this report, field bolts are listed separately for each framing situation that requires field bolts. All members with field bolts on the selected detail sheets are automatically included in the report if " List in bill of material " is checked for those members. See columns on the report for an explanation of each of the columns that appear on this report.

Columns on the report (also see the example ) :
Line: The number of the line in the report that this group of field bolts is on. Each group of field bolts in a line is the same length and diameter and is associated with a distinct framing situation. Two lines are needed to describe most framing situations. The total number of lines on this report is limited by the number of details on the selected detail sheets.
Piecemark: The piecemark ( member piecemarks ) of the two members that fasten together at the construction site using the field bolts. Two piecemarks (on two sequential lines) describe most framing situations. The supported member is listed first if the setup option " Field bolts listed on... " is set to ' Supported '.
Report Writer: Member.Piecemark
Count: The total number of field bolts required to fasten the members together.
Diameter: The diameter of each bolt in the group of field bolts reported on this line.

Report Writer: MemberMaterial.Bolt.DiameterDimension
Type: The material grade of the bolts reported on this line. This column also includes the bolt type if ' Bolt Material & Type ' is selected for Home > Project Settings > Fabricator > Bolt Detailing Settings > " Bolt designation shown in reports ."
Report Writer: MemberMaterial.Bolt.BoltTypeDescription
Length: The distance from the inside of the bolt head to the end of the shaft. The program does not include the head thickness in its calculation of bolt length because head thickness may vary among bolt manufacturers.

Head Washer: The number of washers under the head of the field bolt and their type ( HD or PL or RPL or FL or BVL or DTI or HLS ). If this cell is left blank, then there is no washer under the head of the field bolt.

How to output a Field Bolt Point to Point by Sheet :
Generally field bolts are shipped loose. A Field Bolt Point to Point Report by Sheet may be used to determine how many bolts of what type are needed to erect one end of a member at a construction site.
1 . Before output of this report:
1a (optional) : Changing the setup option " Field bolts listed on which members " changes whether the supported or supporting member is listed first for each framing situation described on the report. Be sure to " Process and Create Solids " all members if you change this setting.
1b (optional) : If you want the steel grade only to be listed in this report for the column " Type ," then set the setup option " Bolt designation shown in reports " to ' Bolt material only '. Also be aware that the report counts all field bolts of those members on selected sheets which have " List in bill of material " checked. This means that if the same member is on the same sheet twice and " List in bill of material " is checked for both members, you will get double the field bolt count -- which is probably not what you want. You will also get a double field bolt count if a member is on two sheets and " List in bill of material " is checked for both.
1c : This report is compiled from the 3D model. When you Process & Create Solids , you effectively update the model for your current Job . You can then output a Field Bolt Point to Point Report by Sheet that will be up to date.
1d : Since you select members for inclusion in this report by the sheet they are on, details need to have been placed onto detail sheets before you can output this report. Be aware that the report counts all field bolts of those members on selected sheets which have " List in bill of material " checked. This means that if the same member is on the same sheet twice and " List in bill of material " is checked for both members, the report doubles the field bolt count -- which is probably not what you want. The report also doubles the field bolt count if a member is on two sheets and " List in bill of material " is checked for both.
Tip: If you want to include only members that have been placed on particular sheets, print out a Sheet List by Sheet as a guide to help you select which sheets you want.
2 . Use any one (1) of the following methods to begin output of this report:
Method 1 : Home > Reports > System Reports > Field Bolts > Field Bolts Point to Point by Sheet .
Method 2 : Click the Field Bolts Point to Point by Sheet icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Reports ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning). Ribbon configuration is done using Customize Interface .
Method 3 : If " Modeling layout style " or " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Reports > Field Bolts > Field Bolts Point to Point by Sheet.
3 . A selection dialog opens. On it is a selection list of the detail sheets in your current Job.
|
Optional: Press the button under " Destination " to redirect the report's output destination. In this example, " Screen " indicates that output is to the report viewer . |
Alternative 1 : Select the detail sheets you want the report to be based on, then press " OK " to output the report as described in step 4.
Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end this operation without generating the report. Do not continue.
4 . The Field Bolts Point to Point by Sheet report is output.
Note: If you output the report to the report viewer (" Screen "), you can now review the report on screen then optionally print it or output it to disk (see report viewer ).
