Bill of Material Plot Plot Order by Sheet (data from member BOM)
Tool summary :
- Reports bill of material information for member details that are on a detail sheet you select from a list of detail sheets.
- Selecting multiple sheets gets you multiple reports.
- A Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet is the same report as a Bill of Material Plot Order by Detail , except that the bill of material information on this report includes all members on the sheet for which " List in bill of material " is checked.
See report header for an explanation of information that appears in the header of this report. See columns on the report for an explanation of each of the columns that appear on this report. Also on this help page are step-by-step instructions .
- You may want to output this report instead of placing a bill of material on a sheet, or to serve as an extra copy of the bill of material that is on the sheet.

How to output a Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet :
A separate Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet is output for each detail sheet you select in step 3.
1 . Before output of the report(s):
1a : Configure the columns that appear on the report(s) (and the order in which they appear) by assigning items a print order under the " Plot Order " column in Bill of Material Layout . Example : You can configure the report to tell you how many submaterial pieces (designated by a minor mark) are required to fabricate a particular shipping member (designated by a major piecemark), the unit weight of each submaterial, the total weight of each member, and also the material description.
1b : Since this type of report is compiled from the bills of material of the member detail files on the selected sheets, only member details placed on detail sheets can be included on a Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet . Be aware that the report counts the materials of those members on the sheet for which " List in bill of material " is checked. This means that if the same member is on the same sheet twice and " List in bill of material " is checked for both members, you will get double the material count -- which is probably not what you want. The report also doubles the material count if a member is on two selected sheets and " List in bill of material " is checked for both.
1c (optional) : You can use Edit Bill to alter the information that will be compiled into this report for a particular member. However, do not auto detail the member after making these changes -- your alterations to the member's bill will be lost.
Tip: If you want to include only members that have been placed on particular sheets, print out a Sheet List by Sheet as a guide to help you select which sheets you want.
2 . Use any one (1) of the following methods to begin the output of the report(s):
Method 1 : Home > Reports > System Reports > Bill of Material > Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet .
Method 2 : Click the Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet icon, which is pictured above. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Reports ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning). Ribbon configuration is done using Customize Interface .
3 . A selection dialog opens. On it is a selection list of the detail sheets in your current Job.
|Press the button under " Destination " to redirect the report's output destination. In this example, " Screen " indicates that output is to the report viewer .|
Alternative 1 : Select the detail sheets you want separate reports to be compiled from, then press " OK ." Go to step 4.
Alternative 2 : Press " Cancel " to end this operation without outputting the report(s). Do not continue.
4 . A Bill of Material Plot Order by Sheet is output for each sheet that you selected.
Note: If you output the reports to the report viewer (" Screen "), you can now review the reports on screen then optionally print them or output them to disk (see report viewer ).
