BVBS Rebar Bending

  • You can print a BVBS Rebar Bending Report if you have a license for this " CNC configuration type ."

Controlled Automation 'Angle Line'

  • This " CNC configuration type " is written for the Controlled Automation Angle Line and similar machines with the same controller.
  • Controlled Automation ' Angle Line ' can process CNC data for angle , flat bar and plate and has tools for punching holes and generating marks. If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message and/or the " Unable to init cnc_mtrl structure for ... " warning message.
  • As the machine this download package was written for does not have tool changing capability, the download file generates a separate pass when more than one tool size is required on the same face. Flat bar is placed on the B face of the machine's V-shaped conveyor.
  • Controlled Automation ' Angle Line ' download files are ASCII files produced as intermediate files which must be converted to the actual Controlled Automation file format at the user site. The conversion program is written by and provided by Controlled Automation. The files are named after the selected members or materials and given a ".CAD" extension. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the files are placed into a "Contrl_Auto_Angle" file folder.

Controlled Automation 'Beam Line'

  • This " CNC configuration type " is written for the Controlled Automation Beam Line and similar machines with the same controller. A Beam Line may or may not have a far side marking tool. Be sure to check the box for " Allow far side marking " (in Controlled Automation Options ) if you want far side marking instructions to be included in the download file . Also see " Move CNC marks on web far side " for additional options.
  • ' Beam Line ' is hard coded to handle wide flange , S shape , channel , angle , flat bar and plate , with tools for punching holes, slots or generating marks. If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message and/or the " Unable to init cnc_mtrl structure for ... " warning message.
  • As this configuration type was written for machines that do not have tool changing capability, the download file generates a separate pass when more than one tool size is required on the same face.

Cope Report

Punch List

DXF

  • This " CNC configuration type " lets you generate a DXF file for each material that you select. Each file can then be translated by a third party nesting program into a file that can be used in CNC plate burner machines from various manufacturers.
  • Unlike most of the other configuration types, ' DXF ' has tool definitions that are entirely user configurable. This means that you can set up (on the DXF Tool Definitions window) a different " CNC configuration " for many different machines. ' DXF ' can be set up for tools for punching, marking, burning and stenciling of plate material.
  • You can use this configuration type to perform operations on flat bar and rectangular plate , round plate , bent plate and rolled plate . Bent plates and rolled plates are downloaded flat. On a bent plate, if " Include layout marks " is checked ( ), a CNC mark is placed 1 inch in from the edge on each end of the bend line. If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message.
  • ' DXF ' download files are named after the selected members or materials and given a ".DXF" extension.

Franklin Angle Line

  • This " CNC configuration type " is for the Franklin Angle Line and similar machines operated with the same controller.
  • Franklin Angle Line can process CNC data for punching angle , plate and flat bar , with tools for punching holes, slots or generating marks. If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message and/or the " Unable to init cnc_mtrl structure for ... " warning message.
  • As this configuration type was written for CNC machines with tool changing capabilities, the download generated by this configuration enables the punching of multiple hole sizes per face in a single pass. The download includes an analysis of the most commonly repeated hole pattern on each face of the material. The hole pattern can then be described with a single X/Y location and a repeat command. The download can have a maximum of 100 individual tooling operations.
  • Franklin Angle Line download file is written in a binary format that consists of chars and shorts. If data is stored as a short, the two bytes are inverted. The file includes all of the downloaded materials and is named after your current Job and given a ".PIA" extension. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the download file is placed into a "Franklin_Angle" file folder.

Franklin Drill 1 ( binary )

  • This " CNC configuration type " can generate binary CNC data for the Franklin Drill Line and similar machines with the same controller. It can drill wide flange , S shape , channel , tube , angle , flat bar and plate . If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message and/or the " Unable to init cnc_mtrl structure for ... " warning message.
  • The download file enables the drilling of multiple hole sizes per face in a single pass (as the machine has tool changing capabilities) and far-side CNC marking (as the machine has a far-side marking tool).
  • Included in the download file is the most commonly repeated hole pattern on each face of the material, thus allowing the hole pattern to be described with a singly X-Y location and a repeat command. Each download has a maximum of 100 individual tooling operations per material; this cannot be exceeded.
  • A stencil or cut length command may also be included in the download at the user's discretion.

  • The download file generated by this " CNC configuration type " takes into account the machine's ability to drill multiple hole sizes per face in a single pass (because the machine has tool changing capabilities) and to do far-side marking (because the machine has a far-side marking tool). Figured out in the download is the most commonly repeated hole pattern on each face of the material. The hole pattern is described in the download file with a single X-Y location and a repeat command. An unlimited number of tooling operations can be generated in a download.
  • The ' Franklin Drill 2 ' download file is in ASCII format and includes all of the downloaded materials in a single file that is named after you current Job and given an ".ASC" extension. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the download file is placed into a "Franklin_Drill_2" file folder.

FMI Drill v2.21

It takes into account the machine's ability to drill multiple hole sizes per face in a single pass (because the machine has tool changing capabilities) and to do far-side marking (because the machine has a far-side marking tool).
  • The download file includes all of the downloaded materials in a single file that is named after you current Job and given a ".PID" extension. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the download file is placed into a "FMI_Drill_v2.21" file folder.

Metal Fab

  • The " CNC configuration type " is written for the Metal Fab Drill Line and similar machines. Most machines that have used this format in the past have been retrofitted with more up-to-date software (for instance, the ' Franklin Drill 1 ' CNC configuration type).

  • The download format is binary. Two files are generated for each selected member or material and named after that material and given a ".DPT" and "DPX" extension. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the files are placed into a "Metal_Fab" file folder.

Peddinghaus 3 Spin

  • This " CNC configuration type " is written for the Peddinghaus 3 Spindle Drill and similar machines with the same controller.
  • ' Peddinghaus 3 Spin ' can process CNC data for wide flange , S shape , channel , tube , angle , flat bar and plate .   • Download files generated by this configuration type may accommodate up to four different hole sizes on a single face by creating a separate pass of information for each hole size. Download files can also contain user-configurable custom coping commands and a stencil command.
  • ' Peddinghaus 3 Spin ' download files are in ASCII format and named after the selected members or materials. If two or more passes are required for a material, the SDS2 CNC program generates two or more download files for that one material and names these files by putting "1P" and "2P", etc. in front of the material name. Peddinghaus 9 Spin

  • This " CNC configuration type " is written for the Peddinghaus 9 Spindle Drill and similar machines with the same controller.

Peddinghaus Angle

Peddinghaus Cope

  • This " CNC configuration type " is written for the Peddinghaus Profile Machine and similar machines that use the same controller.
  • This machine performs burning (or profiling) operations on wide flange , S shape , channel and angle material. If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message and/or the " Unable to init cnc_mtrl structure for ... " warning message.
  • It has four torches, two web torches and a torch for each flange. The flange torches rotate on the ABCM-1000 and newer models; they do not rotate on the ABC-1000.
  • Torch rotating is limited to the flange torches. The only allowable rotations are 30, -30, 45 and -45 degrees. Web torches do not rotate; they can cut the web from a perpendicular position only. The two web torches can perform some burns simultaneously.
  • If you are burning a simple block cope that is the same dimensions on both the top and bottom of material, both torches will be used. All other burns are designated as "custom" burns and are performed by a single web torch which has much greater movement and range capability than the other web torch.
  • The download provides for a cut range of 28 inches from the end of the material to the interior of the material. To accomplish more than a 12-inch cut, a material shift takes place, after which up to 16 additional inches can be cut.
  • In some instances, burning will precede drilling operations. If the top left flange is burned off, you have just cut off the reference point needed by the drilling machine. We offer the option to leave the reference flange attached by a 2-inch section of material. The remaining burning operations will still be performed. After drilling is completed, the remaining flange piece may be removed manually.
  • Web bevels, block copes, custom copes, rat holes, flange moment bevels, web cut backs, full flange cuts, flange cuts (single sided) are all supported. Copes, rat holes, all flange thinning, and welded moments are supported on a sloped plane.
  • ' Peddinghaus Cope ' download files are named after the selected members or materials. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the files are placed into a "Peddinghaus_Cope" file folder.

Fabripunch

  • This " CNC configuration type " is written for the Peddinghaus Fabripunch, which can perform punch and marking operations on angle , flat bar and plate . If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message and/or the " Unable to init cnc_mtrl structure for ... " warning message.
  • The Fabripunch is a three-punch plate duplicator. Two of the punches have the same capacity, the third has much greater capacity. The download handles angle by treating each leg of the angle as a separate plate. Two passes as well as material repositioning are required to punch both legs of the angle. Punching is optimized based on the capacity of the individual punches. Four separate passes can be generated for a single piece of material. Only the highest capacity punch has CNC marking capability.
  • Fabripunch download files are named after the selected members or materials. If two or more passes are required for a material, the SDS2 CNC program generates two or more download files for that one material and names these files by putting "1P" and "2P", etc. in front of the material name. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the files are placed into a "Fabripunch" file folder.
  • Setup options: CNC Setup , Peddinghaus Options . You should select ' DOS ' or ' Windows ' as the " Download type " depending on whether your Peddinghaus software operates under the Windows of DOS operating system.

Whitney Angle [1]

  • This " CNC configuration type " is written for the W. A. Whitney Angle Line.
  • The ' Whitney Angle ' configuration type is hard coded for angle or flat bar and plate . If you attempt to " Download " a different type of material, you will get the " Invalid type of material " error message and/or the " Unable to init cnc_mtrl structure for ... " warning message.
  • The Whitney Angle Line has four punches, two for each leg of the angle. An angle or plate with more than two hole sizes on a single face will have to be broken interactively into separate downloads. Marks may be generated by either punch. The punch nearest to the mark's Y location will be the one used. The download also includes a cut length command for the shear which is built onto the Whitney Angle Line.
  • ' Whitney Angle ' download files are named after the selected members or materials and given an "AMX" extension. If the box is checked for " Batch download " when you download, the files are placed into a "Whitney_Angle" file folder.
  • Setup options: CNC Setup . There are no additional setup options that are exclusively for ' Whitney Angle '.
